Spatial Flow

This study highlights the impact of taste on spatial perception.  It showed that architecture can stimulate taste through vision. The importance of colors can elicit some oral sensations. This effect is not possible in isolation as sight and sound play a factor in developing these sensory responses.
Materiality
This research piece used bees as a case study in assessing the impact of texture and materiality on dust capture as well as comfort. The impact of translucency on light refraction was also analyzed by looking at the bee's wings.
Kinaesthetics
This study of body motion, especially for elderly people exposed important aspects about spatial flow for all age groups. The study also highlighted aspects of design that can aid those with visual impairment of limited mobility to move around a space easier.  For this, the materiality of walls is of importance to symbolize spatial difference and even guide people with bad sight.
